Terms and conditions

How to use CheckAndSnap and what its shared records mean during the beta service.

Using CheckAndSnap

CheckAndSnap is a beta web service for creating shared condition records. Participants can record observations, review versions and download available reports.

Accounts and invitations

Account access is used to create and review cases. A case has provider and receiver roles. Invitations are intended for the person named in the case. Keep your sign-in details private and do not share one-time codes.

Photos, notes and shared records

Participants can add checklist responses, photos and notes to a case. Only share information and images you are allowed to provide. Participants can have different observations, and those differences remain attributed in the saved record.

Versions and acknowledgements

An acknowledgement is saved against a specific stage and version. It records that a participant acknowledged the version shown to them. It does not declare an item undamaged or resolve a disagreement. No response does not become agreement. An edit creates a new version.

Returns and reports

The acknowledged handover version is used as the frozen baseline for return comparison. The return workflow records fresh observations and lets participants review the saved return version. Reports and evidence files available for download are shown in the case.

Support and private evidence

Private evidence is not shown to support by default. A participant can choose whether to grant scoped, time-limited access from a case's Help & reports tab. Access is logged. For general questions, email support@checkandsnap.com.
